Course Layout - Under Graduate

The following is the detailed examination scheme prescribed for the degree course in Economics of the University of Pune.

Note:

1.         All subjects are compulsory.

2.         The University exams are conducted Semester in the first year and the second year and the third year are held in annual pattern.

3.         Each lecture is of 50 minutes duration.

  1. Theory papers and Practical examinations require a minimum of 40% marks for passing.
  2. The University of Pune does not employ the Grade Point Average (GPA) system but uses an aggregate percentage of the student in a year to award classes as follows:

In order to pass in the Second Year and Third Year theory examination, the candidate has to obtain 40 marks out of 100 in each course of each semester. (Minimum 32 marks must be obtained in the University Theory Examination).

In order to pass in practical examination, the candidate has to obtain 40 marks out of 100 in each course. (Minimum 32 marks must be obtained in the University Examination.)
