The department of Microbiology was established in the year 2004. It offers  UG programs, B.Sc. & TY) with the intake of 30 students, which are affiliated with Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.In academic year 2023–24, a specialization has also started ( TYBSC Microbiology) The department is spacious and has a well-equipped laboratory with supportive instruments and equipment to give students practical experience. It has well-qualified and experienced faculties.

          Throughout the year, Department has organised various activities like Subjectwise Expert lecture series, Health Awareness Programme, Poster Competition and PPT presentation, Teachers Day, Science Day, , Industrial visits to distinctive industrial places, i.e., Sula Winery, Vinsura Winery, Tryson Agri, Srujan biotech, Sahyadri Farm(Mohadi) are organized for the purpose of students Holistic development.
