Rules & Regulations

Code of Conduct for Students:

The codes depicted underneath shall apply to all sorts of conduct of students within the College premises and their off-campus mannerisms which may have serious consequences or adverse impact on the Institution’s interests or reputation. At the time of admission, each student would have to sign a statement consenting to abide by the framed codes and should also affirm undertakings that,

• The students should keep the identity card with them regularly and should wear the dress code.

• Whenever the identity cards are requested by the relevant authorities, they should submit it whenever demanded .

• Courtesy and respect must be the key aspects of a student's behaviour.

• Disrespect and disobedience may result in disciplinary action, involving suspension or even expulsion.

• Students should park their vehicles in the space reserved by the college.

• A student should not roam around the college premises by missing classes or demonstrations or giving the excuse of not having classes.

• Smoking, drinking, consumption of narcotic drugs are prohibited in the college premises.

• It is prohibited to bring any kind of weapon that will cause bodily harm while coming to the college.

• Making noise, shouting loudly, talking in the study without reason, standing in the porch is strictly prohibited in the college premises.

• Writing any text on the walls of the college classrooms, toilets is prohibited.

• In case of damage to college property, compensation will have to be paid.

• Conducted by College Office, Library from time to time the rules will be binding on every student.

• Trips should not be organized without the prior permission of the Principal otherwise the college will not be responsible for it.

• Copying or other cheating in any college examination is a cognizable offence.

• No circles, organizations or forums of any kind can be established in the college without the permission of the Principal.

• The Principal reserves the right to admit or deny the annual examination to students who exhibit persistent daily absences, absences from mid-term examinations as well as
internal examinations and behave injuriously to the College.

• Each student will be issued an identity card by the college. The professors, officers and administrative servants should produce the identity card without giving any reason as
soon as demanded by the college. Otherwise Rs. 100/- will be fined.

• Any student who is initially admitted to one session will be admitted to the next session only if his conduct in that session is good.

• Fees once paid are non-refundable for any reason. Students should collect the fee receipts paid from time to time from the concerned clerk on the same day. If there is any
problem in this regard then the principal should be met immediately otherwise any complaint of the students regarding the fee will not be entertained.

•  An average attendance of 80% is required in each session.

• Strictly follow the instructions posted on the notice board of the college from time to time. Otherwise, the student will be responsible for the damages.

• Relevant student documents required by the college are Certificates, Exam Receipts, Mark Sheets, LC/TC. etc. must be present with actual student ID card.

Code of Conduct for Teachers:

The profession of teaching is a vocation that calls for high personal standards of ethics, responsibility and accountability. A teacher has to lead by example and his / her conduct in a college environment has great impact on students. As responsible, educated adults, teachers need to shoulder certain norms. Therefore, every teacher should see that there is no incompatibility between his precepts and practice.

It is expected that No teacher shall...

• Knowingly or willfully neglect his/her duties.

• The teacher shall not be absent from the duties assigned at any time without prior permission.

• Discriminate against any student on the ground of caste, creed, language, and place of origin, social and cultural background.

• The teacher shall not associate in any organizational activities which are against the ethics of teaching profession.

• Not indulge in consumption of alcohol, drugs, smoking, chewing and spitting tobacco while on campus.

A teacher should:

• Follow the Acts, Statutes and Ordinances of the affiliating University.

• Respect the ideals, vision, mission, cultural practices and tradition as set by the managing body and affiliating university, which are for the cause nation building.

• Behave in a responsible manner in the society. He / she should refrain from behavior which would be termed indecent.

• Be concerned and committed to the interests of the students as the foremost aim of the teaching profession is to educate.

• The teacher shall always encourage the students to participate students in curricular and co curricular activities.

• The teacher shall organize various technical events for the benefit of student’s community and also for the benefit of the society.

• Contribute towards the knowledge by continuing to study and research. A teacher should participate in events aimed at exchanging knowledge.

• Encourage and motivate the students to become responsible citizens and inculcate among them scientific temper, values of democracy, social justice, environmental protection and    peace.

• Should treat non-teaching staff as equals and work with them in cooperatively.

• Treat their colleagues with respect, refrain from using ill words against them.

Code of conduct for supporting staff

This code of conduct is applicable to all teaching and non-teaching staff members of the college. They are expected to follow the highest degree of standard and ethics for
maintaining the reputation of the college.

• Perform all duties allotted to him/her by the Head of the department and by the Principal.

• The supporting staff shall ensure a cordial relationship with the teaching faculty, students and other administrative staff for the smooth running of the Institution.

• The supporting staff shall extend a full support to the department for the development of the labs and also in the maintenance of instruments / equipments.

• Treat all colleagues equally respective of their religion, caste, gender, political, economic, social and physical characteristics.

• The supporting staff shall strive hard to improve their technical and non technical skills related to their job.

• The supporting staff shall take efforts to pursue higher education.

• The supporting staff should not be absent from the duties without the prior permission of the authorities.

• Each of them should perform the duties he has been assigned sincerely and diligently as well as with accountability.

Code of Conduct for Principal:

The Principal is the academic and administrative head of the college and works for the growth of the institute. He will implement the policies approved by the university and government, the highest decision making body of the college. He shall
achieve coordination among various statutory committees.

• He/she is full time academic and administrative officer of the institute.

• He/she being academic head, should support, guide and think innovatively for the overall development of faculties and students in the college.

• He/she should observe discipline and must bear high moral character.

• He/she should prepare budget for the given academic year, present it to the Management, get it sanctioned and execute it with full commitment.

• Principal is responsible for smooth conduct of college and should guide for preparation of yearly plan, administrative and financial management in consultation with
management.

• He/she should establish good public contacts in society, Dept. of higher education, University and other academic institutions for overall development of the college.

•He/she is responsible for the planning and execution of sports, extracurricular and cultural activities for overall development of the students.

• The Principal should form various college level committees which are necessary for the development of the Institute.

• The Principal should encourage Faculty Members to update their knowledge by attending seminars/workshops/conference.

• The Principal should ensure that quality in education and academic services is maintained for continuous improvement and turn the students into better individuals and
responsible citizens of the country.

• To uphold and maintain the essence of social justice for all the stakeholders irrespective of their caste, creed, race, sex, or religious identity as within the framework of Indian
Constitution.

• To create and maintain an unbiased gender-free atmosphere within the periphery of the College so that all the stakeholders enjoy equal opportunities.

• The Principal shall be responsible for submission of an annual report on the progress achieved in different developmental and collaborative programmes to the various
committees and Management.

Code of Conduct for governing body:

• To ensure that the institute is well run, meets the needs for which it has been set up.

• To regularly attend meetings of the governing body and the committees on which they serve, and acquire appropriate knowledge to contribute effectively to decision making.

• The governing body should actively monitor that the Institution implements the requirements of State and National Governments for reservations of seats and staff
positions and provide required support to minority groups.

• Provide infrastructure, premises, furniture, apparatus and other means needed for the smooth conduct of the work of the institute.

• The general principle of transparency of the governing body applies that students and staff of the institution should have appropriate access to information about the proceedings of the Governing body. All sorts of agendas of meetings, draft minutes (if cleared by the chair) and the signed minutes of governing body meetings together with the papers considered at meetings should generally be available for inspection by staff and students.

• The Governing Body should have proper commitment and should bear very high moral character and should be helpful and supportive for the development of the college.
