BAHISHAL SHIKSHAN MANDAL LECTURE SERIES.
K. K. Wagh Arts, Commerce, Science and Computer Science College Kakasahebnagar and Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune jointly organized the Ek Divsiy Bahishal Shibir under Extra Mural Studies on 29th September 2025. This workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Atul Gaware I/C Principal of the college.
The first lecture in the series was delivered by Mrs. Savita Kale. While guiding the students, she emphasized that education is the true foundation of progress in life. She explained that there are many new opportunities in the service sector and guided the students on how to prepare themselves to seize those opportunities.
The second lecture was presented by Mrs. Shubhangi Bhade on the topic “The Role of Women’s Self-Help Groups in Rural Entrepreneurship.” She explained how to establish a self-help group and how participation in such groups enhances women’s capacity for savings and financial discipline.
The third lecture was delivered by Mrs. Kalyani Suryawanshi, also on the topic “The Role of Women’s Self-Help Groups in Rural Entrepreneurship.” She discussed how women can start small businesses through self-help groups, the various government grants and schemes available to support such initiatives, and how these groups help women achieve economic independence.
The fourth lecture was conducted by Mr. Sanjeev Deshmukh on the topic “Financial Literacy.” He guided the participants on the importance of saving, how to cultivate saving habits, and how financial independence can be achieved through consistent savings and planning.
The introductory remarks for the workshop were given by Dr. Pratibha Bahekar, Centre Coordinator of the Extra Mural Studies. Vaishnavi Kushare and Satya Kushare, students of the college, conducted the anchoring, while the vote of thanks was proposed by Prof. Vedika Mahale.
The lecture series was graced by I/C Principal Dr. Atul Gaware, IQAC Coordinator Prof. Milind Pawar, Dr. Bhavana Paul, Dr. Arun Thoke, Prof. Sheetal Jagtap, Prof. Mukta More, and other faculty members. A large number of students also attended the event enthusiastically.
